30 Days 10 Ways to Refresh Your Style

Wrapping Up the 30-Day Style Challenge: Takeaways and Outfit Highlights

After completing the 30-day style challenge, I’m excited to share my final thoughts, takeaways, and outfit highlights from the last 10 days of the challenge. If you’re new here, my friend Rachael at This is Our Bliss and I kicked off this challenge in April, encouraging ourselves to wear the clothes already in our closets. The goal was to get creative, have fun, and make the most of our existing wardrobes.

Key Takeaways from the Challenge

Throughout this challenge, I’ve learned a thing or two about my personal style and wardrobe preferences. Here are a few key takeaways:

I Wear a Jean Jacket a Lot

It’s safe to say that I have a slight obsession with jean jackets. They’re versatile, comfy, and can instantly elevate an outfit. This challenge has confirmed that I wear a jean jacket more often than I realized, and I’m not mad about it.

Getting Dressed and Documenting Outfits Can Be Tricky

As a stay-at-home mom, I don’t always have someone to take my picture or remind me to document my outfits. It’s harder than it looks, folks! However, this challenge has taught me to be more mindful of my daily looks and take pride in getting dressed.

Dresses Are Worth Investing In

I’ve found myself reaching for dresses more often than I thought, especially on busy days or for special occasions. This challenge has validated that investing in dresses is a great way to elevate my wardrobe and make getting dressed easier.

I Need to Work on Styling My Hair More

Let’s just say I’ve got a bad habit of pulling my hair back without even thinking about it. This challenge has shown me that I need to work on styling my hair more and adding some extra flair to my outfits.

Outfit Highlights from Days 21-30

Here’s a quick peek at what I wore for the final 10 days of the challenge:

Day 21: Travel Day to Nashville

* Shorts from Target (winner, winner, chicken dinner!)
* Sneakers
* Another jean jacket day ( Surprise, surprise!)

Day 22: Full Day in Nashville

* Black Shorts
* Striped Tee
* Sneakers

This outfit was comfy, cute, and had just the right amount of layers.

Day 23: Travel Day Home from Nashville

* Best Under $20 Jean Shorts (yes, they’re that good!)

Day 24: Casual Day

* White Jean Skirt

Day 25: Tennis Match Day

* White Jean Skirt (yes, it made another appearance!)
* Comfy shoes

I felt like this outfit was worth documenting, especially since it was my last tennis match of the season!

Day 26: Baseball Day

* White Jean Skirt (sensing a pattern here?)

Day 27: Baseball Day (Again)

* Sandals

I was feeling tired, but at least I wasn’t in athleisurewear!

Day 28: School Event

* H&M Dress from a few years ago (still a favorite!)

Day 29: Swim Team Mom Time

* Hat
* Earrings
* Sandals
* Pool Bag

Day 30: New Jean Jacket Alert!

* Puff Sleeve Jean Jacket (new addition to my wardrobe!)
* Sneakers

I splurged on this new jean jacket, but after this challenge, I know it’ll get plenty of use. Just like my Golden Goose investment, I’m confident this will be a wardrobe staple for years to come.

Final Thoughts on the 30-Day Style Challenge

This challenge has been an incredible experience, and I’m so glad I decided to take the plunge. Not only have I learned more about my personal style, but I’ve also gotten creative with my wardrobe and made some great purchases along the way.

If you’re thinking of doing a style challenge, I say go for it! It’s a great way to refresh your wardrobe, gain confidence, and have fun with fashion.
